asks:
Your blog is fcking golden! what's your favorite movie?

Thanks!

I don’t know if I could ever accurately answer that. I should really have a standard answer for this by now because I get asked all the time (literally). If you wanted single films I could say that I love the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Godfather, the Back to the Future trilogy and Sherlock Jr., It’s a Wonderful Life and Home Alone. But its easier to say that I love certain niches, like silent comedies, British heritage films and British comedies, animated Disney films, and, as evidenced by this blog I love silent and Golden Age Hollywood. My favourites are films with Buster Keaton, Leslie Howard, William Powell, James Cagney, James Stewart, Myrna Loy, Bette Davis and the list goes on and on :)

Nick Charles: The important thing is the rhythm. Always have rhythm in your shaking. Now a Manhattan you shake to fox-trot time, a Bronx to two-step time, a dry martini you always shake to waltz time.
